Pharmacy College Approval

The Pharmacy education and profession in India upto graduate level is regulated by the PCI, a statutory body governed by the provisions of the Pharmacy Act, 1948 passed by the Parliament. ➤ The Pharmacy Act 1948 was enacted on 4.3.48 with the following preamble- "An Act to regulate the profession of pharmacy. Whereas it is expedient to make better provision for the regulation of the profession and practice of pharmacy and for that purpose to constitute Pharmacy Councils". ➤ The PCI was constituted on 9.8.49 under section 3 of the Pharmacy Act.

New AICTE Approval

As defined in the AICTE act 1987, Technical Education means programs, of Education, Research, and training in Engineering and Technology, Architecture, Town Planning, Management, Pharmacy, and Applied Arts and Crafts, and such other programs or areas as the Central Government may in consultation with the Council, by notification in the official gazette declare.

CBSE Affiliation

Last date for submission of application is 31st March of the year preceding the year in which class VII, IX, XI is proposed to be started. These classes should not be started without affiliation with the Board.

Letter of Intent (LoI)is the provisional approvalgiven to the applicantto start a new Technical Institution, if the documents are found in order (based on Scrutiny Committee) and after the construction of infrastructure, the applicant can inform AICTE and further processing shall be done by conducting EVC to issue Letter of Approval (LoA), if the norms specified in APH 2019-20 are fulfilled.After the issue of LoA only, the Institutions are eligible to admit the students fulfilling the norms of affiliating body (as applicable)
